Cookies on Klarense
Cookies are small files on your device. We use them to make the site work and, only if you agree, to understand how people use Klarense.
1. Who is responsible for this data
The service is run by Serghei Fortuna. For questions about cookies and data, write to hello@klarense.com.
More about data (not only cookies) is in the Privacy policy.
2. Why this page exists
The banner asks briefly. Here is the detail: what is required, what happens only after “Accept”, how long it is kept, and how to change your choice. The banner is available on any Klarense page, without going back to the home page.
3. Required cookies and storing your choice
They are needed for Klarense to work: the session, signing in to “My reports”, form protection, remembering your answer about cookies. They do not need consent and are always on.
| Name | Set by | What for | Period |
|---|---|---|---|
klarense_sid | Klarense (own domain) | Signing in to the cabinet (email or Google) | Up to 30 days from signing in, or until you sign out of the cabinet |
klarense:consent:v1 | Klarense (localStorage) | To remember “Accept” or “Decline” | About 6 months |
klarense_consent_v1 | Klarense (own domain) | A copy of the choice from klarense:consent:v1: if cookies are cleared, the banner appears again | About 6 months |
4. Cookies for statistics (optional)
If you press “Accept”, Klarense may load Google Analytics. This is how we see how many people start a check, open a report, leave an email or ask for a review, in general numbers, without names.
The check of a website does not need this. If you press “Decline” or choose nothing, the check and the report work as usual, without these statistics.
- Tool: Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC, USA).
- What we look at: steps on the Klarense site. We do not pass the address of your website or the domain you enter for a check to analytics.
- Retention of events in Google Analytics: 2 months.
- Data may be processed outside the EEA (including in the USA).
- We have no advertising cookies and no lists of hundreds of partners.
| Name (typical) | Set by | What for | Period |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google (after “Accept”) | Statistics of visits to Klarense | up to 2 years (set by Google; this is not the event retention period) |
klarense:ga:report_opened:* | Klarense (sessionStorage, after “Accept”) | A mark that opening the report has already been counted, so it is not counted twice | Until the tab is closed |
5. How to change your choice
To change your choice, press “Open the cookie choice” on this page or use the “Cookies” link at the bottom of the site. To withdraw consent to analytics, choose “Decline”. If you delete Klarense data in your browser settings, the banner appears again.
6. Your rights
At any time you can withdraw consent to statistics (see above), ask what data we hold about you and ask us to delete it: write to hello@klarense.com. If you believe your rights are violated, you can complain to a data protection authority in your country.
7. Which rules we keep in mind
Klarense is meant for visitors from different countries; the consent model is the one used for visitors from the EU. Optional cookies are set only after “Accept”.
8. What we do not do
- We do not set statistics before your “Accept”.
- We do not block the check of a website until you answer the banner.
- We do not sell data about visits and we do not show ads based on Klarense cookies.
