Klarense Terms of use
1. What Klarense is
Klarense is a diagnostic service. You give the public address of a website, the service checks some of its public pages and shows a report: what we found, what it may mean in plain words, and what to do as a first step.
Klarense is not:
- a security audit or penetration testing (pentest);
- a full SEO audit with a promise of higher rankings;
- a service that changes anything on your website.
Every finding in the report is marked as a Fact, a Hypothesis or a Question; what we did not check is listed as “not checked”.
2. Who can use the service
You can start a check of any website whose public address you have. By entering the address, you confirm that you have the right to check that website (for example, it is your website, or the website of a client you work with).
Klarense performs only harmless public actions: GET/HEAD requests to open pages, and following links from the home page only to check that they work. The service does not submit forms, does not sign in to private sections, does not bypass protection and does not act on your behalf on the website being checked.
3. What we promise and what we do not
Klarense is a diagnostic, not a guarantee of results. We do not guarantee:
- more inquiries or sales;
- more website traffic;
- higher positions in search results.
The report is based on a snapshot: as a rule, the home page and a limited set of checks. We state plainly in the report what we did not check.
4. Limits on use
It is forbidden to use Klarense for:
- mass automated starting of checks in order to put load on the service;
- attempts to get around the request rate limit or the protection against abuse;
- checking websites in a way not described in section 2.
We may restrict or end access if these rules are broken.
5. Price
The service is free for now. If that changes, the payment terms will be described separately and in advance.
6. Emails and notifications
We send an email with a link when you ask for it yourself (to save a report, to sign in to your account). Additional emails are sent only at your request (for example, a request to a specialist). There are no advertising mailings without separate consent.
7. Rights to the report
The report on the check of your website belongs to you: you may freely forward it, publish it and show it to contractors. Klarense keeps the rights to the service itself, the name, and the structure and design of the report.
For our part, we do not publish reports on other people's websites without the consent of their owner.
8. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. Klarense is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of the report and does not guarantee that the report covers all problems of the website.
Klarense's total liability for any claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service over the last 12 months (the service is free for now). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Deleting data
You can delete the report and related data at any time; the ways are on the Data deletion page. More about the data we process is in the Privacy policy (Russian).
10. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. Significant changes will be reflected in the date at the top of the document.
11. Governing law and language
These terms were written in Russian; this English text is a translation for convenience.
The Klarense service is provided by a private individual, Republic of Moldova. The laws of the Republic of Moldova apply; disputes are resolved in the courts of the Republic of Moldova.
