I'm ordering a website

I'll show what to change in your website contract before you pay

I read the contract, the studio's proposal and the spec. I show what to change while it's one line, not a dispute.

Sound familiar?

Got a contract and a prepayment invoice. What do I check so I don't get burned?
I'm afraid to pay upfront and be left with nothing.
I'm afraid the price will multiply after I sign.
Should they give us the source code? There's no one to ask.

What you'll have in hand

Contract edits

A file: what to add, remove or clarify — point by point, with ready wording.

Questions for the studio

A list you can send right away. No accusations — just normal client questions.

What to add to the spec

What's missing: mobile use, inquiries to email, speed, backups.

60-minute voice walkthrough

Included. I explain every edit and mark legal points "check with a lawyer".

What I check

  • Whose name the domain and hosting are in
  • Whether the code and design pass to you — and when
  • What the studio hands over: access, code, backups, instructions
  • How the work is accepted and by what criteria
  • Warranty: how long, from what date and what it covers
  • What counts as extra work and what it costs
  • Deadlines, payment terms and what happens if deadlines slip
  • What it costs to leave the studio if things go wrong
  • Is the spec complete: mobile, inquiries, speed, backups
  • Red flags in the proposal: "turnkey" with no task list, "spec as we go"

How it works

  1. 1You send the documentsContract, studio proposal, spec, emails — even photos will do.From you: Documents
  2. 2I read and make the listWithin 2 working days: edits, questions for the studio, spec gaps. From you: Nothing
  3. 360-minute walkthroughI explain every edit and answer your questions. From you: An hour
  4. 4You decideYou decide what to send the studio. The list stays with you.

Price

from €150 one project

Time: 2 working days. Price fixed in writing before I start.

50% before the start, 50% once we've gone through the result. Company invoice is fine. Order oversight within 30 days and I'll credit the review.

Why before signing Before signing, an edit is one line in the contract. After signing you have to beg for it, and after prepayment — argue.

Review my contract
Included
  • Contract, proposal and spec of one project
  • A written list of edits with wording
  • Questions for the studio, ready to send
  • What to add to the spec
  • 60-minute voice walkthrough
  • "Check with a lawyer" notes on legal points
Not included
  • Legal advice — legal points are for a lawyer
  • Emails and meetings with the studio for you — that's oversight
  • Writing a spec from scratch — I'll mark what's missing
  • A promise the studio accepts every edit — that's up to you and them

Questions about the review

When you don't need me
  • You need a lawyer for a dispute or court — I read contracts as an engineer, not a lawyer.
  • You build the site yourself on a builder and have no contract — the free checklist is enough.
  • The site already works but brings no leads — you need diagnostics, not a review.
Are you a lawyer?

No. I've spent 8 years in software testing and read contracts as an engineer: what "source code", access, acceptance and warranty mean. I mark legal points "check with a lawyer" — show those to a lawyer in your country.

Won't the studio be offended by the edits?

I write about clauses, not people. The edits read like normal client questions. A good studio discusses them — fewer disputes later.

No contract yet — only a proposal

Send the proposal and your emails. I'll show what to ask the studio and what to have written into the contract.

Contract already signed — too late?

Not for what matters most. I'll show what to discuss with the studio now and what to check at acceptance, so you don't lose what wasn't written down.

What do you do with my contract?

I read it and keep it to myself. I don't share or publish it. An example in a report or video — only with your written consent and without names.

What language can the contract be in?

Russian, Romanian or English. If it's another one — ask on the call.

How is this better than a checklist online?

A checklist is generic. I read your contract and your spec and write edits to specific clauses. There's a free checklist too — link below.
